• Rs 2,500 for a 36 page booklet under the Normal scheme, and Rs 5,000 under Tatkaal, following the Passports (Amendment) Rules, 2026 which took effect on 1 July 2026.
• Rs 3,500 for a 60 page booklet under Normal, and Rs 6,000 under Tatkaal.
• The fee covers the application, not the field — correcting your mother's name alone costs the same as correcting several particulars together, so fix everything that is wrong in one reissue.
• Allow a few weeks under Normal — timelines depend on document verification and the police check. Tatkaal speeds up the passport, not the Gazette or the record corrections before it.
